Our Christmas Foyer

Seasons Greetings Everyone...can you believe we are 14 days away from Christmas!  It has really snuck up on me this year and I simply do not have any idea where the time has gone.

When I started decorating this year, I really had no idea what I was going to do in the foyer.  I decided to recycle everything from my Christmas front door and entry last year and just use it again in a different way.  I am really pleased with the way it turned out.  I hope you enjoy the tour!

The NOEL letters and cone trees are made from cardboard wrapped in yarn.  Click HERE to see how I made the letters and cones and click HERE to see how the glass block was made.  I made these elf legs last year but haven't put the directions on my blog yet, maybe I should.  I think they add a touch of whimsy to the table.

If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I LOVE to decorate my front porch and doors for the holidays.  I opted NOT to decorate our front door this year, because the winters are brutal on the porches and doors, and snow is everywhere.  So I decided to bring the outdoors in and decorate the big window in the foyer.

I hung all of the candy ornaments with the tiny 3M Command Strips...those are the best to use because they do not damage the service.

I used floral wire to secure the ornaments on the garland.....

I used a little black bench I had gotten in Warrenton during antique weekend and simply placed the candy lollipops in the buckets and finished it off with some of my favorite magazines and Christmas pillow.

It was nice to re-use everything I worked so hard on last year and use it in a different way this year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
